Craps has been considered by a huge number of people to be one of the most thrilling games of the online casino. The excitement and thrill are evident from the noise and outcry that you can hear from the game tables. There are numerous moves that you can make in the game and this adds to the fun but at the same time makes it somewhat complex. However, you don’t need to worry about that. The complex moves can be learned as you become accustomed to the game. You can easily begin with simpler moves and improvise later and believe even simple moves can get you good returns.
Fundamentals
Online craps is a popular UK casino game played with two dice on a table that is made specifically for the game. The casino allots four people who serve each craps table. They include one boxman, 2 dealers and a stickman. The boxman keeps a careful guard over all the proceedings, intervenes in any row and sorts out problems. The dealers handle the cash. They amass the bet money, put them in required places and later make the payments to the deserving players.
The stickman is responsible for the dice. He declares whose chance it is, the result of the rolled dice and also the winning bets. The player who is rolling the dice is called the shooter. He/she can choose two dice from the five offered by the stickman. When a ‘come out’ or the first shooter roll is played the dice should rebound from the other side of the craps table and return. The score that wins will be determined. The player will continue to roll the dice till they score 7 i.e. till they ‘crap out’. The player can retain the dice when he rolls 7 or 11, he will have to give them back when he rolls out 2, 3 or 12 and he determines the winning score, in other words ‘establishes the point’ when he rolls out 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 or 10.
Establish A Point
As already mentioned, the numbers 4, 5, 6, 8, 9 and 10 are applicable for winning scores and hence you can ‘establish a point’ by rolling out these numbers on your come out roll. If you roll your dice and score a 7 prior to scoring the above-mentioned numbers you will have to hand over the dice. On the contrary, when you score the above scores you can get a new chance for a come out roll and can restart the entire procedure.
The Simple Bets
Be forewarned that craps can get quite complicated and difficult to remember when all the different moves or bets come into play. Trying to learn all the bets from your first game may be quite a tricky issue. It is better if you start with the simpler bets and moves on to pick up more bets as you expertise on the simple ones. Let’s begin with the simplest one called the ‘Pass bet’. We will gradually move on to a few more.
Pass Bet – In this situation you put on cash on the ‘Pass line’ while the come out roll is played. The payment here will be equivalent to your bet. You will win if the shooter throws a score of 7 or 11 and will lose if the score is 2, 3 or 12. When you root for the shooter you win if the winning point is thrown before a seven.
Don’t Pass Bet – In this situation you put your cash on the ‘Don’t pass line’ as the come out throw is played. A score of 2 or 3 by the shooter means you win while that of 7 or 11 means you lose. If he/she throws a 7 before the winning point you win, else you lose.
Come Bet And Don’t Come Bet – The come bet and don’t come bet are very similar to the pass bet and the don’t pass bet respectively. The only difference is that you start betting not prior to the determination of the score on the ‘Pass line’ (or ‘Don’t Pass line’ in case of Don’t come) but only after that.
Odds Bet – This bet too can be made only after the winning score has been determined. This kind of bet boosts your odds for winning i.e. increases your probability of winning. You will not find a special slot for this bet, as it places you in an advantageous place and not the house.
