What Is Live Earth? The Concerts For A Climate In Crisis

You may have heard of Live Earth, but what in heck is it? Live Earth is a live concert with a variety of different music groups performing at the same time on all of the seven continents. The purpose of the concerts is to provide global awareness for the purpose of providing awareness to people of all ages about the damage to the Earth and how it is affecting the global climate.

The concerts take place in New York, Tokyo, London, Johannesburg, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Sydney, Hamburg, and Istanbul and anyone can buy a ticket to attend one of the shows. If you only attend one live music even this year, Live Earth is the one you really want to be a part of. The line up offered means it is sure to be a very good show and for a very good cause.

For those who can't attend any of the Live Earth concerts, they are televised on many channels including VH1 and MTV. Since all of the concerts are taking place at the same time different portions of each concert will be televised live via satellite. While the concerts are taking place screens will show short movies behind the bands to give everyone ideas of how they can help to improve the climate of the Earth.

In addition to being on television, parts of the concerts will be aired on the radio and the internet. It is estimated more than 2 million people will be listening to or viewing the Live Earth concert. It is believed this will one of the biggest events to ever take place on the internet.

Since musicians have such a profound effect on our society as a whole, it is wonderful to see them coming together for such a great cause. More than 100 performers will be taking part in this event. Some of the headliners for Live Earth 2007 include Bon Jovi, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Madonna, Kelly Clarkson, and the Black Eyed Peas.

Music is a great part of all of our lives. Music is an expression of who we are, an escape from stress, a joyful entertainment, and also a means to a good end. Charity concerts are a great example of how music can be used for a good cause.

In addition to the many musicians participating in Live Earth 2007, there are plenty of other prestigious individuals supporting the cause as well. They include politicians, actors, scientists, athletes, and government leaders from all around the world.
