Ukrainian Woman Who Says That Life Is Awful Here?

The usual Ukrainian Woman is educated to respect her family and to be a full member of society. She would know her importance and will have quite high self esteem but mixed with irony and sense of humor.
Life in the last years has made this lady strong. She will be able to look after the household, to raise children, to love her husband, to respect her parents and parents in law and along with all this, to have a job and to be good in it. The whole political and economical situations mixed with the specific national characteristics results in unique and unseen women.
They never complain about their life. Of course local women have problems and need to share them, but they live with the motto what does not kill me makes me stronger. Indeed their characters are tempered and it is hard to surprise them or scare them.
Behind the mask of cool behavior and struggle, they are delicate and sensitive. They love their homes and always try to make them cozier. They are ready to sacrifice their good-night sleep to invest this time for something that will make them feel better in their own property.
In Ukraine most people own a home. In big cities such as Kiev or Odessa the family houses have a way to big apartment blocks where every apartment has a different owner. Prices of real estate are growing in proportion to the annual inflation percentage, though unlike the rest of Eastern Europe, such as Romania and Bulgaria, they are far from the big boom. Naturally every Ukrainian woman dreams to have her own family house, but these are still too big an investment for the standards of living.
An alternative to these are the small houses in the village regions near the big cities where people usually go for the weekends and have small gardens where they grow vegetables or fruit trees. For many ladies these small pieces of land property are subject for discussion: when is the time to plant pepper, what flowers to plant near the fence, all these are questions which could be discussed within hours and the results will be implemented the very next weekend spent in the country.
With all the buzz for home and comfort, Ukrainian woman is very good at her work too. She is bilingual, speaking both Ukrainian and Russian and in addition almost everyone has a basic understanding of English, German or French. Many people study foreign languages because the modern economy forces them to be competitive. Another proof of the fact that they are true professionals, is the number of western companies which outsource to Ukraine.
Many women work in call centers as support or telemarketing operators. There are others who are good at electronics and mathematics and the desired engineers for many Germany tech-companies. Pharmacy and fast moving consumer goods are also speeding up and more ladies find their place in these niches as accountants, marketers or even managers. They will not complain that they work because work makes them feel important.
Inequality does not exist in Ukraine. Woman works as much as man. She will expect her husband to help her with the kids and the household, to respect her efforts and to support her. The results? Ukrainians have the happiest and longest marriages ever.
