Article content or directory sites are becoming more popular. But many of them contain large volumns of articles prior to becoming live. This is easily accomplished by bulk loading the articles into the article database (usually MySQL).
The advantage to this approach is that those seeking articles have a plethora of them available for the taking. That is great for the content seekers. But what about the content writers that do not want to be lost in a category abyss?
At http://www.DispatchAnything.com we are taking a different approach: we are initializing the database with only five entries. Why? We feel that will give article or content writers a groundfloor opportunity to have their submissions appear without getting buried. This won't last forever once the submissions pile up. But at least initially, the database will be fresh.
Even as we grow, we will always feature new articles on our front page. This may keep writers motivated to continue submitting fresh work.
