Jesus never compromised between the spiritual and material life. He never said to his followers they could have the best of both worlds. If you are sincere it was necessary to avoid false pleasure of the material world.jusus could give heaven to his follower if they were willing to sacrifices and surrender there self to Jesus. Jesus had realized the divine consciousness it was worth than anything in this world. Jesus knew the difference between the rewards of the spirit and so called pleasures of the world.
